Growing up presents a unique set of challenges, from social dynamics to academic expectations. For young people navigating ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyslexia, anxiety, or depression, these pressures can often feel overwhelming. I provide a warm, engaging environment where children and adolescents feel safe to express themselves and explore their world.
I believe therapy should be as accessible as it is effective. Through a blend of interactive play and intentional conversation, I connect with each individual to uncover their unique strengths. By focusing on their inherent abilities, we work together to:
Build Self-Esteem: Cultivating a strong sense of self-worth and confidence.
Develop Coping Tools: Learning practical skills to manage emotional regulation and social hurdles.
Navigate Emotions: Empowering them to understand their feelings and thrive both personally and academically.
Sustainable change happens best when a child’s environment evolves alongside them. To ensure the best possible outcomes, I require monthly parent meetings as a core part of my practice. These sessions allow us to:
Deepen your understanding of your child’s perspective.
Collaborate on practical strategies to implement at home.
Monitor progress together to ensure the support remains consistent and effective.
Healthy family dynamics are the foundation of a child’s well-being, yet every family encounters seasons of tension or transition. In these sessions, we work with the family unit as a whole, with the child or adolescent present in the room. This collaborative approach ensures that every member has a voice and that the work we do is reflected in the way you interact every day.
Family therapy is about more than just solving a single problem; it is about improving the "Small Talk" that happen around your dinner table and in your daily life. By bringing everyone together, we can:
Strengthen Connections: Build deeper understanding and empathy between parents and children.
Improve Communication: Develop the tools to navigate conflict and express needs in a healthy, productive way.
Solve Problems Collaboratively: Work on shared goals together, ensuring that strategies are practical and supported by the whole family.
Navigate Change: Support the family through transitions, such as school changes, moves, or shifting family roles.
In our sessions, I provide a safe, neutral space to explore the patterns that may be causing stress. By focusing on your family’s collective strengths, we work to untangle misunderstandings and cultivate a renewed sense of harmony. My goal is to empower your family to move forward with a stronger bond and the clarity to thrive together.
Parenting is a journey that is both deeply rewarding and incredibly challenging. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where we can work together to understand your family’s unique needs and help you feel more grounded in your role.
To best meet your family’s needs, I offer parenting support in two ways:
In Conjunction with Therapy: Collaborative sessions held while your child is also receiving psychotherapy in my practice. These sessions will be held at a minimum of once a moth.
Standalone Parent sessions: Focused sessions where we discuss parenting strategies and family dynamics, even if I am not working directly with your child.
Through open communication and collaboration, we will untangle the complexities of family life. Our sessions focus on:
Practical Strategies: Identifying tools to support your child’s emotional development and regulation.
Behavioral Insight: Distinguishing between typical developmental milestones and behaviors that may require more focused attention.
Values-Based Planning: Creating a sustainable treatment plan or home strategy that aligns with your family’s specific goals and values.
By fostering a partnership based on trust, my goal is to empower you with the tools and confidence needed to navigate parenting challenges effectively. Together, we will work to create a more harmonious home environment where both you and your child can thrive.
Early adulthood is a season of profound change. Whether you are navigating graduation, launching a career, or redefining your personal relationships, these transitions often bring a wave of uncertainty. It is common to feel stuck, experience anxiety or depression, or struggle to envision the next chapter of your life.
In our sessions, I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space designed for honest exploration. We use open dialogue—a process I call "Small Talk"—to delve into your unique experiences and identify the strengths you already possess.
Our work focuses on:
Navigating Transitions: Managing the stress of "what’s next" with practical tools.
Building Resilience: Developing coping strategies that align with your personal values and professional goals.
Refining Identity: Untangling complex challenges to cultivate a renewed perspective on your path forward.
I believe in your inherent capacity for growth. Together, we will work to clear the fog of uncertainty, empowering you to move toward your future with a sense of confidence and clarity.
